Douglas E. Goldman, Chairman

Doug Goldman’s accomplishments span a variety of world class commercial, philanthropic and career interests.

As an entrepreneur, Doug’s early business and technology contributions to Certain Software started the company down the path to becoming the leading provider of solutions to the event and meeting industry. Today, Certain serves over 1,800 customers and 8 million attendees around the globe.

As the founder of Certain Software, Doug’s entrepreneurial drive and spirit can be traced to his family history as a descendant of Levi Strauss, who invented the blue jean and spawned one of the world’s great brands. Doug’s experience as a technology industry entrepreneur are rooted in his role as the founder and chief architect of a computerized research center for Jewish genealogy at the Museum of the Diaspora in Tel-Aviv.

As a philanthropist, Doug has served on the boards of dozens of national, international and local organizations.

Doug currently serves on the board of the Goldman School of Public Policy and the Haas School of Business at the University of California at Berkeley, the Harold Hartog School of Government and Policy at Tel-Aviv University, the Goldman Environmental Foundation, and the Goldman Prize Jury. He also serves as President of the Lisa and Douglas Goldman Fund which makes valuable contributions to a variety of fields including youth, civic affairs, civil and human rights, education, environment and social and Jewish affairs and human services. As Chairman of the Stern Grove Festival Association, the oldest annual free concert series in the United States Doug spearheaded a stunning, award-winning $15 million renovation of the Sigmund Stern Grove in San Francisco.

Doug also has an extensive background in medicine. Earlier in his career, Doug became a board-certified emergency physician and practiced at Mount Zion Hospital & Medical Center and Marshal Hale Memorial Hospital in San Francisco. He also served as the Medical Director of the Emergency Medical Services Agency for the City and County of San Francisco. As an expert in emergency medicine, EMS and pre-hospital care, Doug is the only emergency physician to have served on the San Francisco Fire Commission.

Doug received a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of California at Berkeley and earned his M.D. from the Sackler School of Medicine at Tel-Aviv University in Israel.

Peter Micciche, CEO

Peter Micciche, Chief Executive Officer

Peter Micciche serves as Certain’s President and CEO responsible for the Company’s vision, strategy, and global operations. He has extensive executive management and board level experience in public and private software companies, including roles as president of Cognos Corp. the leading business intelligence vendor (acquired by IBM); CEO of NativeMinds, Inc. (acquired by Verity and now Autonomy); and CEO of Kinecta Corp. (acquired by Stellent and now Oracle). In addition, Peter served as a director of Centura, Inc. a NASDAQ traded company.

In addition to his experience running technology companies, Peter also brings a wealth of experience from other senior executive roles. He served as senior vice president of sales, at Americas for Nuance Communications Inc., a $1 billion provider of speech recognition solutions, and was senior vice-president of sales for ChannelPoint Inc., a leading provider of solutions for the financial services and insurance industry. Peter was also vice president and general manager of ASK/INGRES, a $500M business software company where he was responsible for the North American applications, data base business as well as global customer service.

Peter was also an advisor to venture capital and private equity firms as well as chief executive of enterprise software and Web 2.0 companies, providing guidance on raising capital and strategy.

Peter earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and finance from Boston College and an MBA degree from Suffolk University in Boston, MA.

Olivier Delerm, CMO

Olivier Delerm, Chief Marketing Officer

Olivier Delerm is responsible for Certain’s global marketing strategy and execution. He brings over 18 years of marketing and product leadership as a visionary executive in high growth business software companies.

At Siebel Systems (acquired by Oracle), a $1.5 billion vendor of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solutions, Olivier was responsible for launching several major product lines that established the company as the leader in eBusiness solutions, including Field Service, Order Management and Web Services. As a group director at Siebel, he managed the Life Sciences and Consumer Goods eBusiness applications which generated over $200 million in revenue.

Olivier was also vice-president of marketing at Airframe Business Software, an on-demand business software company. Prior to joining Certain, Olivier had been advising a broad range of companies, from early stage to Fortune 500, as the managing partner of the Delerm Group, a management consulting firm. Earlier in his career, he was senior director of engineering at Scopus Technology, where he created and successfully launched CRM suites for financial services, telecommunications, and high technology, which led to the acquisition of the company by Siebel Systems. His early experience also includes design and development projects at CERN, the largest nuclear laboratory in the world.

Olivier received his Master in Economy and Finance from IEP and his Master in Engineering from ENSAM, both in Paris, France.

Jodi Maxson, Vice President Sales

Jodi Maxson, Vice President Sales

Jodi Maxson is Certain’s executive responsible for sales of Certain’s product and services. She brings over 20 years of sales leadership as executive in fast growing high technology companies.

At NetSuite, a public $170M provider of on-demand business management software, Jodi was instrumental in leading the company from zero to $30 million in revenue. As vice president of sales and business development, she developed the NetSuite sales organization to over 120 employees in 3 continents.

During her career, Jodi has held a variety of executive positions spanning from marketing, sales, customer service, and business development functions. She has a proven track record of growing company revenues and establishing high-performance, results-driven sales organizations.

Prior to joining Certain, Jodi was most recently senior vice president of sales, marketing, and operations at Overtone, a venture-capital backed customer intelligence company delivering SaaS solutions. Jodi was also vice president sales, marketing & operations at Frontline Systems, a leading optimization and simulation software company. Earlier in her career, Jodi held sales, marketing, and operations positions at Best Software, Culpepper and Associates, Ingres, and AT&T.

Jodi holds a BS Degree in Business Administration with a major in accounting from the University of Georgia.

Experienced Leadership in the Meetings & Events Industry

Chris Buckley, Vice President Global Services

Chris Buckley is responsible for the global delivery of professional services and product support for all Certain’s customers. Under his leadership, Certain provides product, technical, and business related services from operations based in San Francisco, Seattle, London and Brisbane. Local teams provide value added support and service to the entire event planning cycle.

Chris brings a strong events and meetings management background from over ten years of planning and organizing successful major events. Chris’ experience includes meeting planning and support for one of Australia’s leading professional conference organizers and he began his career with the World Bank & International Monetary Fund, working with their internal meeting planners on their Annual Boards of Governors Meeting in 2000.

Chris has consulted on a number of high profile events including the United Nations Summit on Sustainable Development, the Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting, as well as the Athens and Sydney Olympic Games. Chris drives a truly customer-focused approach to managing Certain’s global service delivery.

Jonathan Dodson, CIO

Jonathan Dodson, Chief Information Officer

Jonathan Dodson brings more than ten years of experience leading information technology initiatives. Jonathan Dodson joined Certain in 2002 as a Senior Software Engineer. In 2004, he became the Chief Technology Officer and in 2007, Mr. Dodson was appointed CIO. As CIO, he sets the technology strategy for the company, oversees technology infrastructure, and coordinates operations of Certain’s core applications. Previous to joining Certain, Jonathan designed, implemented, and managed several enterprise systems for public utilities, leading internet networking manufacturers, and other private businesses. He brings expertise in advanced security and encryption technologies and is responsible for achieving and maintaining Certain’s certification for Payment Card Industry (PCI) Level 1 for service providers. Sought after as an expert in data and e-commerce security, Jonathan has been featured in CIO Magazine, as well as speaking engagements at Meetings Tech Expo (MTE) and other industry conferences. He has a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Reed College in Portland, Oregon.

Aleks Rabrenovich, Chief Financial Officer

Aleks Rabrenovich, Chief Financial Officer

Aleks Rabrenovich is responsible for Certain’s finance, accounting, human resources, and legal functions. He brings 25 years of private and public company finance experience to Certain, including venture capital backed and Fortune 500 organizations.

Prior to joining Certain, Aleks was Chief Financial Officer at Venturi Wireless, a venture-capital backed supplier of data network optimization solutions to mobile operators world-wide. During his 6 years at Venturi, Aleks raised $50 million of debt and equity capital; negotiated complex supply contracts with mobile operators such as Verizon Wireless, Reliance Communications, Tata Teleservices; and negotiated critical offshore outsourcing agreements with strategic suppliers. Before joining Venturi Wireless, Aleks served as Chief Financial Officer at NativeMinds, a privately-held natural language search company where he was instrumental in negotiating and completing the acquisition of NativeMinds by Verity, Inc. (now Autonomy). He also held various financial management positions at Corio, (acquired by IBM), Navigation Technologies (acquired by Nokia), The Ask Group (acquired by Computer Associates), and Compaq Computer in Munich, Germany (acquired by Hewlett-Packard).

Aleks holds an MBA from San Jose State University.
