Successful Business Software Executive to lead Global Event Management Solution Provider
SAN FRANCISCO, CA – August 25, 2009 – Certain Software®, Inc., the leading provider of event management solutions for the global meetings and events planning industry announced the appointment of Peter Micciche, as the company’s chief executive officer (CEO). As a well-respected and innovative executive in the technology industry, Peter brings more than 20 years of business software and general management experience to Certain Software.
Peter’s executive leadership experience spans from early stage private companies to public software companies delivering business software solutions worldwide. His experience includes successful roles as president of Cognos Corp., the leading business intelligence vendor (acquired by IBM); CEO of NativeMinds, now Autonomy; and CEO of Kinecta Corp., now Oracle. In addition, Peter served on the board of directors for Centura, Inc. a NASDAQ traded company.
Peter’s appointment as the CEO of Certain Software comes at a time when the company continues the global expansion it began with the merger of Amlink Technologies in 2008. Peter will build on Certain’s leadership position in the event management software industry to provide leading event management solutions from offices throughout North America, Europe and the Pacific Rim.
