San Francisco, CA - May 07, 2010 - Certain Software, Inc., the leading provider of event management solutions for the global meetings and events planning industry, announces the release of the 4th annual Rising Star Scholarship competition. Each year, students taking a course in a meeting management program using Certain’s event management software solutions are eligible to win one of five $1500 scholarships. The applications for scholarships are due back to the Rising Star administrator by May 28th, and the announcement of winners will take place on June 11th.

Students are evaluated based on class performance, teacher evaluations, and an essay supporting their application. “This is a great opportunity for aspiring meeting and event planners to gain credibility as they emerge in a competitive industry,” says Certain Chief Marketing Officer Olivier Delerm. “This is the fourth year for Rising Star, and it has benefited almost 50 educational institutions around the world. Beyond the monetary benefit of the scholarship, our media partnership with Mice.net brings significant exposure for the winning students to the events and meetings industry, including over 1,800 Certain customers worldwide.”
