Mark Boguniewicz, MD Professor, Division of Pediatric Allergy-Immunology, Department of Pediatrics National Jewish Medical and Research Center and University of Colorado School of Medicine Denver, CO
Dr. Mark Boguniewicz is a professor in the Division of Allergy-Immunology, Department of Pediatrics at National Jewish Medical and Research Center and in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. He is also a staff physician in the Department of Pediatrics at Children's Hospital in Denver. After completing his internship and residency in pediatrics at the Children's Hospital of Michigan and fellowship in allergy-immunology and rheumatology at Children's Hospital and Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts, he was an Instructor in pediatrics at Harvard Medical School from 1988-1990. Dr. Boguniewicz joined the National Jewish medical staff in 1990.
Dr. Boguniewicz is board certified in both pediatrics and allergy-immunology. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology and past chair of the Dermatologic and Ocular Diseases Interest Section of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology. He is also a fellow of the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology and past vice-president of the Colorado Allergy and Asthma Society. He is associate editor, Yearbook of Allergy, Asthma and Clinical Immunology. He recently served on the joint taskforce of the AAAAI and ACAAI on topical calcineurin inhibitors.
Dr. Boguniewicz’s primary areas of clinical interest include allergy, immunology and asthma in children and atopic dermatitis in both children and adults. His research focuses on immunopathogenesis and mechanisms of chronic inflammation in atopic dermatitis. Clinical trials include new treatments for atopic dermatitis in both children and adults and asthma and allergic rhinitis in children. He has presented his research at a number of national and international meetings and has published over 175 peer-reviewed publications, reviews, book chapters and abstracts. He is the recipient of the 2002 National Jewish Medical and Research Center Faculty Clinician of the Year Award and has been selected for Best Doctors in America 2003-2004.

Bradley E. Chipps, MD, FAAP, FAAAI, FCCP Capital Allergy & Respiratory Disease Center Sacramento, CA
Dr. Bradley E. Chipps earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, where he also completed an internship and residency in pediatrics. He furthered his education as a fellow in pediatric respiratory diseases at The John Hopkins University School of Medicine.
Dr. Chipps has been certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Allergy and Immunology and is certified in Pediatric Pulmonology. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
The author or co-author of over 50 articles or book chapters, Dr. Chipps has also participated in many clinical trials of respiratory-related products. He is presently on the editorial board for the Journal of Asthma.
He is currently in private practice with Capital Allergy & Respiratory Disease Center in Sacramento, California.

Nemr S. Eid, MD Co-Chairperson Professor Pediatrics Pediatric Pulmonology University of Louisville Louisville, Kentucky
Dr. Nemr Eid earned his medical degree from the University of Liege in Belgium. He completed his postgraduate training in pediatrics and in pediatric pulmonology at the State University of New York in Brooklyn. He is now professor of pediatrics in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Louisville School of Medicine.
Dr. Eid is also the director of Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine, PSC, and the director of the Childhood Asthma Care and Education Center and The Cystic Fibrosis Center at Kosair Children’s Hospital. Dr. Eid has served as a chairman, and/or faculty member in many national educational initiatives relating to childhood asthma and cystic fibrosis. Dr. Eid’s affiliation with national and international professional organizations includes the American Thoracic Society where he serves as an advisory member to the Society’s Clinical Practice Committee; the American Academy of Pediatrics; the American College of Chest Physicians, where he is a member of the Pediatric Network Steering Committee; the Cultural Diversity Network; and the co-chair of the fellows course both in 2003 and 2004.
As an expert in pediatric pulmonary medicine, especially childhood asthma, cystic fibrosis, and infantile wheezing, Dr. Eid serves as a reviewer for major pediatric and pulmonary journals. He also serves as a consultant to major pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies who develop respiratory products. He has presented his research at a number of national and international meetings and has published over 90 articles, reviews, book chapters and abstracts. He is the recipient of the 1997 "Irving H. Shaw Distinguished Service Award" from Kentucky Association of Health Underwriters, and has been selected for Best Doctors in America 2003-2004.

David E. Geller, MD Director, Aerosol Research Laboratory Pediatric Pulmonology Nemours Children’s Clinic – Orlando Orlando, FL
Dr. David E. Geller earned his medical degree from the University of Iowa School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in pediatrics at University of California, Los Angeles Hospital and Clinics and his fellowship in pediatric pulmonology at the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center.
Dr. Geller currently serves as the Director of the Aerosol Research Laboratory and the Cystic Fibrosis Center, at The Nemours Children’s Clinic in Orlando, Florida.
His current research focuses on the characterization and improvement of the delivery of aerosolized therapeutics in infants and children, and the study of new therapies in asthma and cystic fibrosis, including several pharmacokinetic trials of new aerosol drugs.
Dr. Geller is a diplomat of the American Board of Pediatrics and is certified in pediatric pulmonology. He is a member of the American Thoracic Society, the American Medical Association, the International Society for Aerosols in Medicine, the European Respiratory Society, and the Florida Medical Association.
The author or co-author of over 60 abstracts or articles, Dr. Geller is also a frequent lecturer on respiratory disease. He has conducted numerous clinical trials on asthma and cystic fibrosis. He is currently on the editorial boards of a number of professional journals, including Pediatric Pulmonology; Journal of Pediatrics; Pediatric Asthma, Allergy, and Immunology; and American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine.

Dr. Anne-Marie A. Irani is currently professor of pediatrics and internal medicine at the Virginia Commonwealth University Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, Virginia
Dr. Irani earned a medical degree from the American University of Beirut in Lebanon, where she also completed a residency in pediatrics. She furthered her education as a fellow in rheumatology at the Hospital for Joint Diseases Orthopaedic Institute, a research fellow in immunology at Tufts University, and a fellow in rheumatology, allergy, and immunology at Virginia Commonwealth University Medical College of Virginia.
Dr. Irani has been certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, the American Board of Allergy and Immunology, and the American Board of Pediatric Rheumatology. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology and is a member of the Society for Pediatric Research, the American College of Rheumatology, and the Richmond Pediatric Society.
Presenting at over 100 lectures, Dr. Irani has also participated in numerous clinical trials for pediatric asthma. She is currently on the editorial board for the Infectious Disease in Children and is an Associate Editor for Annals of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, as well as a director on the American Board of Allergy and Immunology.

Dr. James P. Kemp is a clinical professor of pediatrics in the Division of Immunology & Allergy at the University of California School of Medicine, San Diego. He practiced medicine at the Allergy & Asthma Medical Group and Research Center for more than 30 years and was medical director of the Center for Pediatric Clinical Research in San Diego, California.
Dr. Kemp received his bachelor of arts in biology and a medical degree from the University of Virginia. He completed his internship at the University of Florida and his residency at Emory University, where he was chief resident of pediatrics. He completed fellowship training in pediatric allergy and immunology at the University of California, San Francisco.
Dr. Kemp is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, the Sub-Board of Pediatric Allergy and the American Board of Allergy and Immunology. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, American Association of Certified Allergists, American College of Chest Physicians, and the American Thoracic Society. He is a member of the Respiratory Advisory Panel to the U.S. Pharmacopeial Convention, Inc. Dr. Kemp is a past president of the San Diego Allergy Society and the California Society of Allergy and Immunology. Dr .Kemp was president of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology in 2000 and served on their Board of Directors for 12 years. He is included in the physician’s directory, The Best Doctors in America.
Dr. Kemp founded the Allergy and Asthma Medical Group and Research Center in San Diego. During this time, he participated in over 350 research studies focused on various aspects of respiratory disease, including rhinitis, sinusitis, asthma, and COPD. He has lectured extensively and published more than 175 articles and abstracts in peer-reviewed medical journals. He has served as a consultant to the Food & Drug Administration as well as to the majority of pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies who develop respiratory drugs and devices.

Dr. Jeffrey G. Leflein has a hospital-based private practice at the Allergy & Immunology Associates of Ann Arbor, P.C. and is associated with the Respiratory Medicine Research Institute of Michigan. He earned a medical degree at Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica, and finished his internship and residency in pediatrics at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He also completed a fellowship in pediatric allergy and immunology at the National Jewish Center for Immunology and Respiratory Medicine in Denver.

Dr. Michael Mellon is a staff pediatric allergist with the Southern California Permanente Medical Group in San Diego. Dr. Mellon received his degree in medicine from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, then completed an internship and residency in pediatrics at Children's Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. He completed a fellowship in immunology and allergy at the Pediatric Immunology and Allergy Division of the University of California, San Diego, School of Medicine in La Jolla. He is an associate clinical professor of pediatrics at the university.
Dr. Mellon is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Allergy and Immunology. He is chairman of the Pediatric Asthma Task Force in San Diego Kaiser Permanente. He currently serves on the editorial board of Allergy and Asthma Health, previously served on the editorial board of the Journal of Asthma, and is a member of the board of directors of Allergy & Asthma Network Mothers of Asthmatics (AANMA).
Dr. Mellon is a past chairman of the Pediatric Committee, American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology. He has written or co-authored more than 30 publications, including clinical study trials, abstracts, and book chapters.

Dr. Kevin R. Murphy is a pediatric pulmonologist on staff at the Children's Memorial Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska, associated with Midwest Children's Chest Physicians and Midwest Allergy and Asthma Clinic. He has practiced pediatric pulmonary medicine for more than 25 years. Dr. Murphy also serves as a clinical professor of pediatrics in the Pediatrics Department at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska.
Dr. Murphy earned his medical degree from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine. He then went on to complete an internship and residency in pediatrics at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, where he served as chief resident in his final year. Additional postgraduate training includes a fellowship in pediatric pulmonology and adult and pediatric allergy/immunology at the National Jewish Hospital/National Asthma Center in Denver, Colorado. He is board-certified in pediatrics, with a subspecialty in pediatric pulmonology.
Dr. Murphy is a member of several professional societies, including the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, the American College of Chest Physicians, the American Thoracic Society, and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He has received awards and honors throughout his medical career and serves on various local and national committees. Dr. Murphy has presented abstracts at major medical meetings and written numerous articles for peer-reviewed journals, such as the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology; Journal of Pediatrics; the American Review of Respiratory Diseases; and textbook chapters. Dr. Murphy's clinical interests include childhood asthma, especially in the school setting, including the treatment of life-threatening asthma and anaphylaxis.

David P. Skoner, MD Director, Allergy, Asthma & Immunology Department of Pediatrics Allegheny General Hospital Pittsburgh, PA
Dr. David P. Skoner is currently the director of the division of allergy, asthma, and immunology, and vice chairman of clinical research in the Department of Pediatrics of Allegheny General Hospital of Pittsburgh. Previously, he was associate professor of pediatrics and otolaryngology at the University of Pittsburgh, School of Medicine in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He has served as the chief of the section of allergy/immunology and director of the allergy and immunology training program at the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh.
Dr. Skoner is a graduate of Temple University in Philadelphia with a degree in medicine. He served his residency in general pediatrics at Children's Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio, and completed an allergy and immunology fellowship at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh.
He is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the Society of Pediatric Research, the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, and the Association for Research in Otolaryngology. Dr. Skoner has been recognized as one of America's Top Doctors (Pediatric Allergy & Immunology, Castle Connolly Medical Ltd.) for five consecutive years (2001-2005).
His current research interests include the relationships between respiratory viruses, asthma, immunity, and stress; the relationship between viral and allergen-induced nasal inflammation and middle ear disease; the efficacy and safety (HPA axis function and growth in children) of inhaled and intranasal steroids. Currently, he serves as the principal investigator of a National Institutes of Health (NIH) RO1 grant studying the impact of cytokine genotypes on the development of virus-induced otitis media and as the mentor for a K-23 award recipient studying the ontogeny of immune responses in infants.
Dr. Skoner has written over 100 articles and given over 200 presentations on respiratory disease. His articles and abstracts have been published in Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology; Pediatric Research; American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine; Journal of the American Medical Association; and American Review of Respiratory Disease. Dr. Skoner served on the editorial board of American Journal of Rhinology and is a reviewer for Annals of Allergy; Journal of Pediatrics; Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology; Journal of Laboratory and Clinical Medicine; and Journal of Infectious Diseases, among others.

Christine A. Sorkness, PharmD Professor of Pharmacy and Medicine University of Wisconsin School of Pharmacy Madison, WI
Dr. Christine A. Sorkness received her bachelor of science in pharmacy (1973) and doctor of pharmacy degree (1975) from the State University of New York at Buffalo. Dr. Sorkness was an assistant professor of pharmacy at SUNYAB from 1977-1979, and developed one of the first pharmacist-managed anticoagulation clinics in the United States, at the Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo, New York. She joined the University of Wisconsin faculty in 1979 and is currently professor of pharmacy and medicine, Clinical Health Sciences (CHS).
Dr. Sorkness is director of the anticoagulation clinics at the William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital in Madison, a recognized American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) Research and Education Foundation Anticoagulation Clinic training site. In addition, she is a member of the faculty and an investigator with the University of Wisconsin allergy division's clinical research program and a member of the University of Wisconsin Health Sciences Human Subjects Committee. Dr. Sorkness is co-principal investigator at the Madison site for both the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) Asthma Clinical Research Network and Childhood Asthma Research and Education Network grants and was the principal investigator of a National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID)-funded asthma demonstration project entitled "The Impact of an Asthma Counselor on Underserved Head Start Children and Their Families." She was the principal investigator of a 3 year grant from Housing and Urban Development (HUD), entitled "The Wisconsin Healthy Homes Initiatives," which addressed environmental risks of asthma, lead exposure, and home injuries. Dr. Sorkness is co-investigator of the Inner-City Asthma Consortium: Immunologic Approaches to Reduce Asthma, a contract funded for 6 years by NIAID.
She has given many presentations at various medical education conferences and association meetings, including those of the American Thoracic Society and the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology. Her articles and abstracts have been published in Pediatrics; Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology; Chest, Annals of Pharmacotherapy; American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine; New England Journal of Medicine; Controlled Clinical Trials; Journal of the American Medical Association; and Pharmacotherapy. She is a member of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, the American Pharmaceutical Association, the American Thoracic Society, and the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy.
