The underskirt is made of white taffeta. Cinderella has glass eyes and has a cloth posable body with porcelain arms, legs and head. |

"BRAVE LITTLE TAILOR" is the title of the one-of-a-kind auction piece from R. John Wright specially created for this year's Teddy Bear & Doll Weekend. Based on the "Brave Little Tailor" cartoon short released in 1938 at the height of Mickey's popularity, this one-of-a-kind is a completely authentic reproduction of Mickey and Minnie - fully jointed, made entirely of felt - and costumed as they appeared in their delightful period roles. Mickey's costume includes a felt tunic, peasant shoes, a jaunty felt hat with a feather, a custom-made pair of oversized shears, and a leather pouch containing his tailoring tools. "Princess Minnie" is beautifully costumed in a full skirt with petticoats, a Medieval hat with gossamer veil of silk organza, elegant long gloves, and shoes featuring custom brass buckles. Both figures will come posed on a specially created hand painted background. Overall height: 20". |

Created entirely by the artist’s hand, she wears a hand sewn silk gown and headdress copied in detail from an original portrait of Marie Antoinette (c. 1785). Under the gown are a silk petticoat, linen rump, linen shift and silk garters. The intricate hedgehog hairstyle is created in flax top fibers. The shoes are silk brocade with leather soles. |
