Icon Letters Shadowbox

This unique shadowbox artwork celebrates the beloved Pirates of the Caribbean attraction.

Each letter of the word "Pirates" is created from an element within one of the scenes in the attraction. The gold coin in the center is based on coins found in the treasure room and the blue in the lettering above it represents the ocean.

The wood plank at the bottom, as well as the lettering, are taken from the "Captain’s Quarters" sign in his bed chamber and the antique map in the background was re-created from a section of one of the maps pinned to the wall in this room.

The rusty metal and wood box that encases the artwork is based on treasure chests found within the attraction. The front clasp on the box features the famous talking skull whose legendary warning "Dead Men Tell No Tales" warns incoming visitors about the perils of seeking the cursed treasure inside.
