Peter Micciche

Chief Executive Officer

Peter is CEO of Certain, Inc. and has led the Company’s drive to deliver measurable results to enterprise marketers from events. Previously, he was CEO of Native Minds (acquired by Verity); CEO of Kinecta (acquired by Stellent); President, Cognos Corp (acquired by IBM) and SVP Sales Americas for Nuance. Peter’s earlier career included sales and sales executive roles at GE Software.

Peter earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and finance from Boston College and an MBA degree from Suffolk University in Boston, MA.

Interesting Insights:

When I was introduced to Certain I realized from my BI experience the exciting opportunity that event data could mean for marketing and sales. Data from events is a rich source of buyer behavioral predictions and I knew from my enterprise sales experience that face to face meetings at events are a powerful way to propel sales cycles. The opportunity to leverage events to drive sales and marketing was irresistible.

I’m on a never ending journey to learn to play jazz piano and create music through improvisation. My three kids play guitar and our interest in jazz and blues keeps our relationship in tune (pun intended). We moved to the Bay Area twenty years ago but family (including two of my kids) in Boston keep us close to our lobster and chowder roots!

Brian Bailard

Why I joined Certain:
I came to Certain to help solve some problems that have frustrated marketing and sales leaders (like me) forever: how do I generate more revenue and pipeline from events? How do I get my salespeople in 1-on-1 meetings with prospects at events? How can field marketing improve results when we exhibit? And, can someone please help me track ROI for events? Certain is attacking all these issues and I wanted to be a part of the Certain team.

Interesting Insights:

  1. I’m a family man first.
  2. I love history – reading, writing, watching, experiencing!
  3. The scariest thing I have ever done is skydiving…since I “struggle” with heights.

I joined Certain to help marketers close the loop with what is typically their largest investments for generating revenue, events.
