When I was introduced to Certain I realized from my BI experience the exciting opportunity that event data could mean for marketing and sales. Data from events is a rich source of buyer behavioral predictions and I knew from my enterprise sales experience that face to face meetings at events are a powerful way to propel sales cycles. The opportunity to leverage events to drive sales and marketing was irresistible.
I’m on a never ending journey to learn to play jazz piano and create music through improvisation. My three kids play guitar and our interest in jazz and blues keeps our relationship in tune (pun intended). We moved to the Bay Area twenty years ago but family (including two of my kids) in Boston keep us close to our lobster and chowder roots!

Why I joined Certain:
I was attracted to Certain because event management applications are at the intersection of three trends – SaaS for major enterprise applications, marketing organizations investing in automation, and big data. This is creating a unique opportunity for Certain to finally enable enterprises to realize and measure value from events as largest component of marketing budgets.

Why I joined Certain:
Events are such an important part of delivering a world-class customer journey. At the same time, they are so challenging for marketers to pull off well, from a technology and attendee experience perspective as well as in quantifying attendee engagement and overall ROI. Certain delivers the ultimate customer experience for events and it’s a huge win for marketers which is why I wanted to be a part of this transformation.
Three things you need to know about me:
Jasvinder is responsible for managing all facets of software development for Certain’s enterprise event management solutions. She joined Certain in August 2012 and brings 20 years of experience building global engineering teams for both start-ups and public companies in Silicon Valley. Prior to joining Certain, Jas held engineering positions at Loc-aid, a leading provider of Location as a Service where she built the Location Services Group from the ground up and architected and launched the Geofence Engine API software platform. Before Loc-aid, Jasvinder served as the VP Engineering Operations at Phoenix Technologies. Jas holds a Bachelor of Engineering from Thapar University, Patiala, India.
Why I joined Certain:
I became fascinated with the event management space and Certain’s vision of up leveling the conversation from managing events to generating more revenue and pipeline from events. Certain was working on solving problems such as how to provide personalized engagement with attendees for events; how can events help enrich the digital footprint of an attendee; and how marketers track ROI for events. I wanted to be a part of the team driving this transformation.

Why I joined Certain:
I joined Certain to help marketers close the loop with what is typically their largest investments for generating revenue, events. My experience in marketing automation has engrained in me how important data driven marketing is, and I saw the hole left in this process when events are logistics driven vs. revenue and attendee experience results driven by an events platform for the Marketer, which is Certain.
